Here we go!

The next few screens break my services down by category. Please select any / all services you anticipate needing on your journey to publication.

Afterward, I'll ask you to list your tentative release date—or the date your a la carte services need to be completed—so I can take a look at my schedule / workload and see if I'm a good fit for you.

Thanks again! :)

May I please have your name? *

Fantastic. This first section deals with book covers. Do you need any of these services?

If not, feel free to hit 'enter' or scroll to the next screen.

Note 1: Images (below) are only intended as quick visuals. What you need will depend on the printer and options you choose, i.e. A dust jacket hardcover has inside flaps, whereas a casewrap hardcover does not.

Note 2:
Forward Authority is my former trade name. I retired it in 2018, when I expanded beyond the publishing world. :)

Onward! What about an editing referral?

If you don't require this service, feel free to hit 'enter' or scroll to the next screen.

Note: Editing is provided by one (or more) of my talented independent contractors. When you select this option, I will send you a referral sheet, including: areas of expertise, special prices for my clients, availability, and contact information.

How the editorial process is broken down, in general terms:

Developmental editing usually deals with troubleshooting the book as a whole, as well as on a chapter-by-chapter basis. More experienced authors may choose to skip this step, as its primary goal is to help address issues related to the story and/or writing itself.

(Think book doctor.)

Content / substantive / structural editing (and the editorial letter) looks at your work page by page and provides a big picture summarization of praise and things to work on.

(Think rewrites, reordering, etc.)

Line / stylistic editing takes that a step further by focusing on paragraphs and sentences.

(Think artistic improvement and aha moments.)

Copy editing gets down to the nitty-gritty, looking at individual words and punctuation.

(Think red pen.)

Proofreading double-checks editing and formatting.

(Think peace of mind.)

Now that we have the book details out of the way, let's work on promotional materials.

If you don't require this service, please hit 'enter' or scroll to the next screen.

Note: Forward Authority is my former trade name. I retired it in 2018, when I expanded beyond the publishing world. :)

Excellent! When are you looking to have this project finished? *

If you selected multiple services, please list the last deadline you have set. You may break everything down by individual projects, if necessary, in the next section.

Is there anything else I should know?

If you have a promo code, this is the place to put it. :)
